Artist Interview - Dsuzu
We had a chance to chat with Dsuzu about their career as an artist, their approach to art, and all things lewd!
Interview by Kashou. Puedes leer la versión en español de esta entrevista aquí.
Few places are as paradoxical as Colombia. The country's image has been marred by decades of instability, but beneath those anxiety-ridden headlines lies a place that rivals the Garden of Eden. There's a romanticism that permeates the country; an elegant eroticism lingers across the land. Today, we at Sheepish Dreams had the honor of talking to Dsuzu, a Colombian R18 artist who translates that eroticism into something we all know and love: lewd anime art!
With illustrations that are as captivating as lush jungles and azure waters of his home, Dsuzu is an artist that should be on your radar! Luckily for us, we had a chance to talk with them about all things lewd. Here's a glimpse into their story, passion, and future.
This interview was conducted in Spanish. We at Sheepish Dreams kept the translations as true to the original replies as possible.
Q. Can you tell us about your time as an artist? How long have you been drawing/illustrating, and what inspired you?
A: Hello, I'm Dsuzu (Davidsuzu). I'm from Colombia, and I am an NSFW/VTuber artist.
My journey as an artist is quite curious, as my family has always leaned towards the artistic. I've always had a lot of contact with art. As a ki,d I used to sculpt Pokémon out of clay and paint them.
When I started watching anime (over 10 years ago), I began drawing characters like Madoka, Danganronpa, or Naruto. I used to take screenshots and try to replicate them on paper with a pencil. When I discovered Love Live!, I decided to buy a $30 tablet to draw the franchise's characters. Those first attempts didn't turn out very well. But from that moment, art was something I only did sporadically, a drawing every few months.

But when Reimu Endo (a former Nijisanji EN Vtuber) debuted, my desire to draw grew. In September 2022 (almost an year later) I thought, "Wow, Reimu Endou is Colombian and managed to reach such a big place like Nijisanji, maybe I could try something myself." That's when I took drawing seriously and wanted to become an artist. I didn't want to live off my art, but I wanted to increase my skills. Reimu was the first Vtuber I drew after making that decision. It's been three years and five months since that decision.
Since then, I've been drawing and practicing almost every day. But shortly after that, I began creating NSFW illustrations of Nilou (Genshin Impact), Ninomae Inanis (Hololive), and Lanzhu (Love Live!). The Lanzhu drawing was very important, because thanks to it, I met Roswell_SS. He sent me a DM saying, "You have potential; there's an artist server where we draw and you can learn." There, I met artists I admired, like YisusJPL, and Unsfrau. I learned a lot from them. I'd call that my second turning point, the first being meeting Reimu, haha.
Arguably, my most important turning point was meeting my oshi (favorite Vtuber), Ruby Runeheart. Many people don't know that I have another art account, @davidsuzu, where I primarily draw Vtubers—especially Ruby. She has been my biggest inspiration over the past three years and the main reason I've strived to improve as an artist. For example, the banner on my account is a drawing of her that I created in spring 2025.
All of this happened while I was still working at a market research company. In early 2024, I decided to bet everything on art, and now I make a living from drawing. All thanks to Reimu, Roswell, Ruby, and everyone who has supported me these past three years.
Q. What programs and equipment do you use?
A: I currently use Clip Studio Paint for drawing and PureRef to manage my references. My tablet is a Huion Kanvas Pro 12.
Q. Did you always plan to draw R18 art?
A: You could say yes. Even before I became an artist, I was already a fan of NSFW art. I really enjoyed reading doujinshi, and I believe the first one I read was by Alp. I even attempted to translate and color a panel, but I didn't succeed. Once I decided to pursue art seriously, it only took me about a month to start creating NSFW content.

Q. Recently, you expressed your love for Nukitashi. What are some of your favorite anime? What are your favorite anime franchises to lewd?
A: The funny thing is, I've only seen the first episode of Nukitashi. I really like its visual novel; it's made me laugh harder than any other VN.
My favorite anime are Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Code Geass, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, and the Monogatari series. If I had to choose an anime franchise to lewd, I’d go with Frieren, Oshi no Ko, and Monogatari.
Q Could you recommend some artists to our readers?
A:
- Tuna: Draws Vtubers from Hololive EN. This dude deserves way more followers than he has.
- Diptipper: His drawings are mostly of Hoshimachi Suisei, but his stuff is very sexy without being explicit. I adore how he colors skin.
- Kukiyuusha: I like the drawing he posts. Most of his content is from Zenless Zone Zero; his Vivian drawings fascinate me.
- Xdeyuix: He’s the artist I support the most on Patreon. His style is beautiful and it inspires me a lot.
- Doji_ro: He's made two of my favorite doujins. I love how he draws expressions and colors skin. His doujinshis always have very sexy ideas. One of his characters inspired my OC.
- Real_haku89: His drawings are incredible. He focuses on characters from Hoyoverse and Wuthering Waves. I had one of his wallpapers for months without knowing he was the person he drew it.
- SunsetSkyline1: No one draws breasts like him; his drawings are insanely sexy.
- KurinMon: Draws some of the sexiest concepts I’ve seen.
And also my friends:
- YisusJPL: He was the person who taught me how to render skin. I've learned and I still learn a lot from him.
- KagiroNSFW: His drawings are incredibly hot.
- Roswell_SS: Very important in my career as an artist.
Q. Besides the obvious, how does drawing a dressed character differ from drawing a nude one?
A: I’ve spent so much time drawing nude characters that it's become somewhat difficult to draw clothing.
When drawing clothing, you need to consider how the fabric behaves. For example, you need to consider how tension affects the wrinkles and how it interacts with each body part.

Nude characters require careful attention to anatomy. You must consider the placement of the nipples, how the size and shape of the breasts influence their appearance, and how gravity plays into their position. Additionally, you need to account for how bones and muscles shape the overall body, and how the position of the legs influences the form of the groin and vagina.
Similarly, coloring can vary significantly, especially in fully rendered pieces. I am comfortable and experienced in creating fully rendered nude characters, which I enjoy doing. However, rendering a clothed character generally takes much longer. Since I am less accustomed to it, I often need to refer to references to achieve a good result.

Q. You collaborate with Lovense, that's so cool! Can you tell us how that partnership started?
A: It was very unexpected. It happened during a time when things as an NSFW artist weren’t going very well. The algorithm was screwing me over; my numbers dropped significantly, and I received few likes. It was so bad that I even thought about creating a new account and starting from scratch. So, the last thing I expected was that one of the biggest sex toy manufacturers would believe in my work and want to collaborate with me.
Their DM arrived on Christmas, and I saw it the next day. I thought it was a fake account because the username had a 0 instead of an O. After I verified that the account was official, I contacted them via email. They gave me the freedom to draw whatever I wanted, as long as Lovense toys appeared in the drawing, and they sent me a toy as a gift. They [Lovense] were very professional. I loved working with them. I hope to work with them again in the future.

Q. What are your plans for 2026 and beyond?
A: There are many things I want to achieve as an NSFW/Vtuber artist.
In 2026, I plan to shift my content slightly. In 2025, I had limited control over what I was drawing. Now, I want to focus primarily on creating art of Frieren and Vtubers. I chose this direction because I aim to maintain a balance between what I enjoy and what my fans appreciate. My fans mean everything to me, so I always consider their opinions.
In general, I want to improve the quality of my drawings. I still have a lot to learn, and I know I can take my art to a higher level. I want to experiment more with poses, angles, and backgrounds, and keep learning. I want to keep improving and offer better content to my followers.
I'm also interested in participating in conventions. In Colombia, the biggest convention is SOFA; I’d love to have a booth there. I also want to learn how to make animations with Live2D and then publish animations with voice acting and sound effects. Finally, as a Vtuber fan, I’d love to create art for covers and merchandise.
