Doujin Review - Housekeeper Koharu-chan
Onigashima Eryu's Housekeeper Koharu-chan is an excellent maid doujin, with delightful characterization that builds great chemistry into the sex itself.
Review by Miyu.
Of all the various character tropes Japan has seen fit to bless us with, the archetypal maid might be my personal favorite. Loosely inspired by Victorian-era servants and infused with an overzealous work ethic, a maid outfit evokes complex feelings of ownership and sexual desire. Probably best not to think about that, lest the white guilt starts gnawing away at me.
Housekeeper Koharu-chan by Onigashima Eryu is a delightful 24-page doujin that starts pretty wholesome (and arguably would make for an entertaining slice-of-life, a la Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid), building up our characters and their relationship, before engaging in some excellent plap-plap.

About Housekeeper Koharu-chan Doujin
Everyone approaches their hentai with something different in mind. Maybe you just want to get straight to the bangin' bodies and sexy artwork; there's nothing wrong with that. Again, different strokes for different folks and all that. For me, I (usually) need some kind of connection and chemistry between my characters before getting all hot and heavy.
It takes thirteen pages before the titular Koharu-chan pops her—well—tits out, but for this story, that's brilliantly paced. We learn that Koharu is a live-in maid who's struggled to keep work until—rather down on her luck—she stumbled upon Yahiro-san. Bereft of parents and (tear-jerker) stuck with their large family home (oh no, how terrible), Koharu keeps things spick-and-span while Yahiro slaves away as a corporate drone.

When Yahiro gets home, sucked dry by the engine of capitalism, Koharu comes up with the genius idea of sucking him dry in another way, to hopefully recharge his batteries. It would work for me, so there's no reason it shouldn't work for Yahiro!
Chemistry: Too Sickly or Too Salty?
One of my bugbears with "vanilla" doujins is that the story often rushes to some awkward love confession, usually after a girl has been filled with more whipped cream than a Dunkin' Donuts. That's not to say there isn't a place for sexually-charged love confessions, but pacing-wise, it often doesn't feel rewarded for only 20-or-so pages.
Thankfully, Housekeeper Koharu-chan steers clear of that trap. There are some certified #Adorable moments, and I definitely ship Yahiro and Koharu as a couple, but Onigashima Eryu doesn't rush to wedding bells just because the maid put out. And speaking of putting out, let's talk about the art and sex!

As you might expect out of a vanilla-tagged doujin, all your classic sex acts are here, with soft boob fondling and cowgirl riding. Towards the end of their lovemaking, Yahiro gets more aggressive, and we get some nice mating presses and a little rougher fucking, but nothing you wouldn't expect out of pent-up frustrations.
The art is fantastic, and I really loved Koharu's blushing face and slight mind-break expression as she gives herself over to her man. She might act like an angel, but there's a little devil inside!
Final Thoughts on Housekeeper Koharu-chan Doujin
Onigashima Eryu's Housekeeper Koharu-chan is an excellent maid doujin, with delightful characterization that builds great chemistry into the sex itself. We could easily read an entire slice-of-life about these two characters, or just watch them fuck each other's brains out—such is the paradox of a well-written doujin.
