Doujin Review - The Night Bus to Poundtown
We reviewed Itohana's sexy travel doujin, The Night Bus to Poundtown, and CAME to a single conclusion … it's hot!
As someone who fancies himself a wanderer, I have a hostile relationship with night buses. Night buses are like taxes; no matter what I do to avoid them, they always worm their way into my life. I've spent many nights in grimy reclining seats, wondering what had damaged me enough to endure 12+ hour bus rides. Oftentimes, as I search the recesses of my soul and come up blank, my frustration leads to horniness. Apparently, doujin writer Itohana has shared my thoughts. The Night Bus to Poundtown was written by someone who suffered the stultifying boredom of long-distance bus travel.
Given that description, you can glean what The Night Bus to Poundtown is about. But how titillating is it? And more importantly, should you part with a portion of your savings to buy it? The answer is yes. Yes, you should.
Read on for our full thoughts and a sneak peak of what to expect!
The Night Bus to Poundtown Synopsis
Four years ago, Hirugami Sousuke moved from Osaka to Tokyo. And in that time, the office worker decided that a home visit wasn't part of his plans. So for nearly half a decade, he avoided home. Unfortunately for Hirugami, he lives in the digital age, so calls from his angered parents were a constant annoyance. (Quick word to all the parents reading this: if your kid ghosts you, that's 100% your fault.)
Despite Sousuke's objections, his parents are right in calling him a deadbeat son, so to Osaka he goes! But what promised to be a boring trip quickly gets out of hand when the girl in the seat next to him begins masturbating! Immediately adopting a "when in Rome" mentality, Sousuke-kun takes out his meat stick and gives it a proper rubdown. And to his luck, the girl next to him turns out to be a seasoned exhibitionist! So Sousuke ends up getting his dick so thoroughly sucked that he might as well have shoved it in an industrial vacuum. And as his bus ride tryst intensifies and they start to put on a show, Sousuke and his lay end up with a whole new kink.

Random (Horny) Thoughts
Whenever I read a doujin (and I do read them), three things take precedence: does it make me horny, is it realistic, and does the art inspire me? Those are what I judge every doujin by, and Itohana's The Night Bus to Poundtown scores well on all criteria. When I began this review by saying that I fancy myself a wanderer, that wasn't ego fluffing; it's relevant to how I view the story. There's no objectivity in life; how a person views something is based on their experiences. And my experiences tell me that there are no boundaries in sex. No matter what it is, someone, somewhere, does it.
Psychological studies indicate that exhibitionism is a "rare" kink, with only about 1 to 2% of women and 2 to 4% of men admitting to liking it. But here's the thing: there are over 8 billion of us, and our sexual preferences and fantasies are ingrained in us way earlier than most would like to admit. So, even taking the lowest number in this study, there are about 80 million women who are exhibitionists. Tokyo has a population of 37 million. See the picture? Apart from that, millions more don't care if someone sees them naked or bumping uglies. That alone makes The Night Bus to Poundtown an honest read.

Random (Horny) Thoughts PT 2: Attack of the Lewd
"But Kashou!" Some may say, "What about the horny? I'm here for the horny! I came for tight hentai bodies, not a psychology lesson." Chill, you philistines. I'm also here for the horny.
I must preface this part by saying I'm not an artist. I don't know the difference between proper and sloppy shading. My view on art is spiritual. It comes down to two things: Does it move me? Do I find it beautiful?
And I can say that Itohana's art style moves me. Her artwork is clean and perverse. All the juicy parts of the doujin aroused me, and in my opinion, that's the greatest praise you can give any adult work. If a doujin can excite me when I'm worrying about bills or health issues, it's a work of art. And The Night Bus to Poundtown meets that criteria.
The Night Bus to Poundtown's heroine is kawaii and as bountiful as a pumpkin field in autumn. I'm not the affectionate sort. But I do focus on my partner's facial expressions. A pretty face enjoying herself is a million times more valuable than an average face looking at you with love. And the lead heroine in The Night Bus to Poundtown is hella expressive, and I LOVE THAT! I blushed more than once reading this.
The most I've gotten from a night bus was a near mugging and a sprained ankle from a crash. But if I'm anything in life, I'm an optimist, so I look forward to the day I can live a Night Bus to Poundtown life.
