Our featured artist today is a mutual of Sheepish Dreams: the incredibly talented Hiatsz!
They've used their endless talent and hard-earned skills to bless us with this Canari artwork that combines a heap of different kinks, including exhibitionism, incest, and good ol' raw doggystyle. This pose alone would've made an excellent piece, but Hiatsz's attention to detail is what we want to focus on today.
The Instagram/TikTok Live interface frames the piece, making the audience feel slightly removed from the piece, detaching us from the usual "observer" role we take in artwork, and instead placing us right alongside the supposed "viewers" watching Canari. The messages popping up from Canari's rivals and friends are a brilliant touch, too, along with the floating emojis, which accurately reduce in size and fade as they drift up the screen. And the background details, including a variety of sex toys and condoms, earn fantastic environmental storytelling points.
Our only criticism of the piece is that the two-tone font — while a clever nod to Canari's color scheme — is a little tricky to read. But such a minor flaw barely matters in a piece that's timely, relevant, and brilliantly executed. Congrats on being our featured post of the day, Hiatsz!
